You Never Know What People Will Donate...

Yesterday I heard a knock on the window. A man was standing at the door, with a bag in hand. He thrust the bag towards me, "Here, these are for the girls." I peered in and saw lots of watches. "Wow, these are great, thanks for donating these!" He shrugged, "You can have one too if you want." He walked away and I opened the bag further. Not only was the bag full of watches, it was full of "Hello Kitty" watches.

I went and found Gloria to share our new wealth.

Me: Gloria, are you ready for a funny surprise?

Gloria: (skeptically) What do you have?

Me: Umm... (tossing her the bag) Look.

Gloria: Wow, there must be a hundred! They're all "Hello Kitty!"

We are going to have little girls dripping in "Hello Kitty" watches as we counted them and we have 67! At first it sounded like a lot of watches, but with Blanca capable of breaking at least three a day, before long, we will be wondering where they all went. :)

Jaqueline The Pirate

Playing soccer on Saturday afternoon, Jaqui was involved in a crash with Michel that resulted in a nasty black eye. She took off her patch long enough to take this picture. After I finish patching her, she looks more like a war victim than a pirate, but the nickname la pirata is catchier. (Teresa, what do you think of her eye, should we take her to the clinic?)

Amy ~
I don't think they would do anything for it. I think time will heal it. I would just make sure she doesn't have double or blurred vision. If it hurts, use ice and give Tylenol. Advil may increase the bleeding. You know her best, so if you think she isn't right you may want to take her in.
Question for you: Are you wearing a "Hello Kitty" watch too?
Love you,
Teresa

Is there a connection between Pirates and silver watches? Was the guy in a car or a boat?

Someone really needs to take credit for the "har, har har!" comment. Too funny! That had me laughing out loud!

Ouch ~ what an eye. I can't imagine what Michel looks like! Enjoy those watches. No one has an excuse to be late anymore ~ Maybe some could be sent our way. Have a joyful week!
