The Cheering Up of Fede

This week we have a workteam from Belevedere here. Yes, that is in IL and not WI like I always think. I went out to take pictures of the team and had the rare opportunity of catching Fede's attitude on the camera.

Seth and Joel had this great idea that a few afternoons a week, they all need to do some sort of physical labor. This is maybe the third week into the new program. As I saw the CVE boys walking out, I went over to talk to them and to snap pictures of them hard at work.

Needless to say, Fede was not happy to have to scoop rock on such a hot day.

He walked over and plopped down on a bucket. "Fluffy, what is wrong?" I asked. He mumbled, "leave me alone." "Come on," I said, "smile for the camera."

José develops his own plan for taking Fede's mind off the heat.

Yay! Smiles all around. :)

The guys stop their work for a picture. They weren't even posing. :)

Last night, the minister had the service on Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. He was inspired to use the story as he said that "It feels like an oven or furnace outside." Amen. Have you ever wondered how hot you have to be to actually bake? (If you bring this up as a late night conversation starter, be careful!) As dear Jenna Bean put it, "it is so hot that your inside organs are being baked by the sweltering sun." Well said girl. :)

Amy ~

I like the play by play action shots. They remind me of one of those flip picture stories. (You get a little more of the story as you flip each page.)

Hopefully you can cool off at the lake in a couple of weeks! :)

Hi Amy ~
I don't know if Fede saw your post, but you can tell him that it sure makes me smile when I see it because I don't like working in HOT weather and I know how grumpy I can get!!! You can look forward to cooler weather NEXT WEEK! Looking forward to seeing you!!!

To all at CVE:
Here in Morelia we have been enjoying pleasently cool weather. Sweatshirt in the morning, T-shirt in the afternoon through evening. Of course there is the daily rainshower that can be really problematic when you want to walk to the bus to go to Bible study. Even with that, I don´t know what´s so bad about Mexican weather
