All Kinds of Festivities

This week we celebrated "Day of the Child" and the following day the kids had off classes as it was "Worker's Day." If the schedule goes as last year, May is the month of "easing out" of school. I think next week the kids have two (maybe 3) days off of school also (for Mother's Day). Today the kids were out half day in preparation for celebration for Cinco De Mayo, Which shows it is obviously not a real celebration in Mexico or we would have had at least three days without school. :)

We have had all kinds of candy, cakes, cupcakes and piñatas. This Saturday the girls have planned a Quinceñera Party for Katie and yep, you guessed it, more soda, cake, chips and festivities. Wednesday Lupita celebrates her 10th birthday...

Andres has his face smashed in the cake on Día del Niños.

A great game of tug-of-war.

Gabriel attacks the piñata with the ferocity of a butterfly.

Will the party ever end?

Braden,

Don't worry, from the looks of things, the party is just getting started.

I would like to add that in the picture where Andres has his face covered in cake... nobody pushed him in... he just decided to do it himself!!! What a great kid... lol
