"By faith the walls of Jericho fell down..." -Hebrews 11:30a

This morning in Sunday School the kids were so cute as they reenacted The Battle of Jericho. There were so many children in class today I didn't know if the idea would work out, but they all behaved so well. Maybe we will have to march around the red bodega more often. I thought for one split second, "What if the bodega falls down? Joe will kill me." ;)

The kids quietly march around the "Jericho."

The band of Israelites sleep on the third night. Church was done early, so we had to skip the 4th, 5th and 6th day.

Joshua (real name Carlos) leads his Isrealites in their final trumpet blowing march.

Barbara blows her trumpet!

The bodega didn't fall over...we just made really cool crashing sound effects.

I don't think your Sunday school kids will forget this Bible story for a long time, if ever. Way to bring it to life! :)

p.s. I am glad that the bodega didn't fall down either--that would have been fun to explain! :)

I'm also thankful the bodega did not fall!

Amy,

If I were a kid, I would love having you for a Sunday School teacher! What a memorable lesson!

Amy, God is so wonderful. As I read your blog this morning, I heard for the first time the words of a song..."walls came down" refering to Joshua. God's timing is perfect. Thanks for the updates.

God Bless,
