Eli

A few days ago, we took family pictures here at CVE and then we all had to pose for our own individual shots. (More pictures to come).

Eli is 8 years old and she arrived about 8 months ago. The previously lived in the same orphange where I stayed for two summers. She has had some rough spots in her little life, but is really changing for the better.

Funny side story. :) While I was posting Eli's picture, Blanca came in so I could do her hair before church tonight. I asked her to take off her long overcoat she was wearing so I could brush her hair. When she did, I noticed something unusual. She had on two dresses. The top dress was a short summer dress and the under dress was long--in sleeves and in length. "Blanca, you can only wear one dress at a time," she then took off the top layer, and the bottom dress was totally see through. This might not be as funny if you weren't here, but oh man, they keep us young...or maybe make us old!

Hi Ames,

Glad to know that you are teaching the girls about modesty! Funny story about Blanca's dresses. Tell Eli I said "hi" and I really like her picture.

I love you,
Mom

Hi Ames,
Look I am commenting! :) I am subbing and on my prep hour so I thought I would catch up on your blog. It is snowing here and the kids are hoping school will let out early. I doubt it though, just wishful thinking! I clicked on Kris and Stephs blog's too and had lots of fun reading.
Hope to see you this weekend!
Love ya, Aunt Suz <><

Hi Amy!
Aren't kids great?! They help us keep smiling! It makes me wonder what her thought processes were as she put on the first dress and then decided she needed a second one. Too funny!
