Chris and Amanda's Wedding

Well, I am back in Mexico after the whirlwind weekend. Chris and Amanda's wedding was wonderful and I was so encouraged.

A portion of the scripture picked by Chris and Amanda to be shared during the wedding service was in 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

In the second photo, Jess, Kristen and I, are standing on the giant monster truck that served as Chris and Amanda's getaway vehicle. Obviously we are showing how tough we really are(n't). ;)

The following picture is of Amanda and her bridesmaids.

The bottom picture is of Chris and the groomsmen with the bridesmaids' purses.

I had a rough time on the plane returning to Mexico. I have never been so sad leaving IN before, but this time, I struggled as I thought about all the friends and family I wouldn't be seeing for a long time. It didn't help that everywhere I turned "I'll be Home for Christmas" was blaring or something else sentimental. I pulled under the CVE arch and walked into my bedroom and could hear the little boys under their fort in the living room with Jenna and Stephanie's laughter floating through the room, I realized, "I am going to be home for Christmas." I guess having two homes is at times going to cause a feeling of being torn between the two worlds. (When I sat down to blog this morning, it was not with the intention of waxing philosophical...)

love to you all,
amy

Ames--
Yes, we are going to be home for Christmas. It just may be a totally different home than we've ever had before. How blessed are we that we have two places that we feel at home.
...not to say that I won't join you for a good cry on Christmas Day. :)

Hey Ames - you look gorgeous in the pic... I am procrastinating right now as finals aren't for another two days (for me that is). However, I will be praying that our Heavenly Father uses you to continue to share the wonderful Christmas story with all those children that won't be home with a family for this Christmas Holiday.

love you!!

Hey Amy,

We had a great time meeting you and getting to know you this weekend.

We now know that Amanda's friends are way cool for sure!

We really enjoyed the great Bluffton hospitality...very impressed...We realy felt the wedding message and your ministers did a very very nice job...

We also enjoyed some great Mexican food at El Camino's Sunday night after the reception...The owner kept calling us "my freind" and he was our friend after that great meal

Jeanne's dad Bob asked us to try and find your blog tonight and this is the first blog search I've done...it worked...I bet he was looking for a picture of himself getting smootched by the bridesmaids
Any how be good ..or as Brittany used to say...it's beans...or Frehitos( sp?) or something for you!..

Remembering you in our prayers

Love Tim & Jeanne in Minnesota

Bridesmaids and groom's friends seem to have more fun. Of course this atmosphere of dance and party is lively apart from hectic schedules. My brother is planning a cocktail evening for his best friend. Thinking to book one of the famous rental spaces for parties at the outskirts of our city. All other arrangements will be done according to the supplies available there.
